Last week I wrote about the drainage issue and the fee put in place by the Chickasha City Council.  Yesterday at the City Council meeting the item was tabled in order to reconsider the fee amounts and structure, collaborate with business and communicate further before proceeding with implementation.

I was also encouraged to hear from multiple sources including Council members that conversation was happening informally between City representatives and the business community.

So thank you City Council for listening.  Thank you for hearing our concerns and slowing down to listen some more.  This is a healthy process and the way it is supposed to work.  Now I believe we can achieve great things for the betterment of our community in both the short and long term.
