Focus on the Business Model

This has been a particularly challenging year.  Several things about it have been lackluster.  I do not think we are alone in this experience as I hear the same thing from many other business leaders.

My response has been to become ultra focused on the business model.  We know that we have a proven business model.  It has been successful for many years.  We know it is still relevant because there are multiple new applications in development with a range of customers.  Our product launches are gaining tremendous attention.

Thus, in these difficult times, let’s focus on execution.  Logically, the better the execution of a great business model, the more successful it will be.  The best way to grow is to do more of the right stuff.  We want to scale up the number of problems we solve for specific customers and their applications.  This is the growth strategy and the business model at its core.

Now we go about doing two things: aligning around what we already know to be the best objectives and working really hard to achieve them by focusing on the activities required.
