I Need a Vacation
This was just published, but written last week, so I’m already gone.
Time off is always nice, but here is what I am looking forward to on this particular trip:
Spending time with my wife and children. It has been a busy season with unusually heavy travel for business purposes. It’ll be so nice to be away and just be with them and have no other obligations, just be together.
Reading. I love to read and vacation allows for way more uninterrupted reading time than I get any other time. On this vacation I am taking books that I just want to read for fun. At least the first 3 are just fun. If I read something serious it will be on the back end of the trip.
Decision light living. My job is to make decisions, most all of which have real consequences. Most problems I am presented with are complex and require deep thought. That is the way I normally like it. Not this week though.
