This week is our semi-annual bonus distribution and success sharing. These are some of my favorite days because it is a chance to pause and look back at our achievements. It is especially nice this week because we have done very well. This will be the largest amount we have distributed in some time. This is for many reasons and the result of many key contributions from many employees.

Here are some of the specific things I love about it:

I love that it gives me an opportunity to be generous.
I love that it provides an opportunity to recognize the contributions of others.
I love to see the joy on the faces as they receive the checks.
I love that employees have a chance to benefit from their own contributions.
I love that it is just ahead of Christmas so it can be used to enhance the holiday season of our families.
I love that this period has been good so that we can see how making a difference in areas that matter can have a real impact on our company performance and thus our compensation.
Finally, what I love the most is that is forces me to take a day to slow down a bit, have fun and say thank you to those that really make it happen day in and day out for our business.
