Jargon, Shmargon

Stop using management buzz words and start using your own vernacular! Nothing drives me crazier or causes me to tune someone out faster than the latest leadership jargon. It does not prove you have the ability to lead or some great knowledge, only that you’ve read the latest leadership books. An argument can be made that your time would’ve been better spent actually leading, working to develop your business or learning about your customers than reading a book that would ultimately enlighten you to something you probably already knew. Speak like a normal person, more like you would with your friends or family. Drop these jargon words from your vocabulary and I guarantee the speech will feel more natural and garner better attention.
